Finally, It's Friday!

The deadline is fast approaching to get your Doug and Debbie Hall thank you letter in!   As per the requirements of the Doug and Debbie Hall Pipe Band Scholarship, each scholarship student is required to write a thank you letter to Doug and Debbie for their generosity.  The Halls cover the piping and drumming tuition of any Islander between the ages of 8-18. You don't have to write a letter...you can draw a picture, make a card, buy a card.  Get creative!  This is your time to show your appreciation to Doug and Debbie for their kindness.  Letters are due BEFORE December 1st and must be turned in to your instructor.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask James, Chris, Sam and  Kylie. Happy writing!

It has been made official...we have made it to the semi-finals for the Aviva Community Fund! Voting starts again on Monday, December 1st and we need all of the help that we can get.  Call your neighbours, tweet the world, facebook it or sing it from the mountaintops!  Help us upgrade our aging amphitheatre and make your Highland Storm experience a more comfortable one and a safer one for our students and performers.  Please check the blog, facebook and twitter for all of the voting details on Monday! Thank you in advance for your time and continued support!

If the snow has you down, why not purchase a ticket (or tickets!) for a Christmas Getaway?  All you have to do is purchase a ticket in support of The College of Piping Highland Dancers Trip to the 2015 ScotDance Canada Championship Series in London, Ontario. The prize includes: one night accommodation at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel; breakfast for 2 at the Rod Charlottetown Hotel and a $50 gift certificate for one of the Murphy Group restaurants. Tickets: 1 for $5.00 or 3 for $10.00.  The draw date is December 14, 2014.  Contact our Highland Dance Instructor, Kearsney Smith at kearsney.smith@collegeofpiping.com for more information!

And finally....

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our students in the United States.  Have a great holiday weekend filled with lots of turkey and practicing!
